A hospital was having trouble providing staff during off-hours for a secure entry point allowing access to sensitive equipment and areas of the facility. While the hospital staff was able to use badge readers with their employee ID card, frequent vendor deliveries require additional verification, with the ability to identify
on-site vendors to hospital and security staff.

The RAD unit was installed and integrated with door control to admit staff through integrated badge reader while providing identity verification for vendors. Using the RAD software, registered vendors are able to check in using a unique six-digit pin number and facial recognition technology for entry access.

Once their credentials have been positively verified, the registered user will be allowed to open the corresponding door and pick up a printed visitors badge for the duration of their time on site.

At a low cost to the company, RAD provided a security post where a human guard would not otherwise be present, allowing for identity verification of persons on site while retaining a digitized log of all users checking in to the system.
